Hello summer campers!

Summer Camp update number 2 - Important information:

Remember, we have TWO summer camp options this year, the first is June 26th - July 2nd at BRMC's Camp Powhatan, the second is at Camp Shenandoah July 24th - July 30th.

            Important Dates:

March 21st troop meeting - middle deposit is due for June camp.  First deposit is due for July camp.  For the June camp, this is your final opportunity to decide, after March 21st, no money is refundable, late additions are not possible.

April 18th troop meeting - Final payment is due for June Camp; middle deposit is due for July Camp.

Summer camp costs:  We are presntly calculating our best estimate for travel costs and incidentals, but right now it looks like the June camp will be $255 for Merit Badge and first year campers and $285 for High adventure.  The July camp will be $210 for Merit badge, $225  for first year campers and $290 for High adventure.   That includes camp fees, transportation costs and a camp t-shirt.   It does not include extra fees for some merit badges or camp spending money.

What should you be doing now?

    1.  Making final decision on which camp to attend.

    2.  Make a list of the merit badges you want - see below.

    3.  Scouts - start saving some money for camp!

    4.  Check out all the details for the camps:

For all Merit badges, please review the requirements before camp.  Some badges have age/rank requirements and some have additional fees.  We will discuss your son's plan individually to make sure he (and you) understands all the program elements, requirements and costs.
